Meet Barbara Jim

Barbara Brown Turner (“Barbara Jim” to those that know her) has always had a love and appreciation of architecture and design.  After attending the University of Mississippi, where she received a degree in Finance and her Juris Doctorate from UM School of Law, she left Oxford to pursue her passion in NYC.

While living in Manhattan, she studied interior design at the New York School of Interior Design and completed her associates degree. Her style of combining antiques and contemporary furnishings and accessories is reflected throughout her work. Barbara Jim has a gift of transforming houses or spaces into sophisticated, yet comfortable and inviting, homes. She incorporates carefully curated pieces with fabulous fabrics and finishes to create a customized, layered look desired by each client. No two spaces are the same. Barbara Jim uses a traditional yet fresh approach to carefully tailor each project to make her client’s dream a reality.  

 

Barbara Jim and her husband have made their home in Oxford and have three sons.
